Job Description My highly acclaimed client is looking for the ideal candidate to fill this position in the Richards bay area.

1.Job Purpose
To achieve set sales targets by winning sales through the skilful and successful acquisition, development and retention of customers in Sub Saharan African Countries.

Key Result Areas/ Principal Responsibilities
?Exceed or achieve monthly sales revenue targets, KPM's and objectives made telephonically into Sub Saharan countries.
?Development, documentation and intelligent adherence to a planned call cycle that allows the highest possible contact with customers, potential and existing, to achieve set objectives and targets.
?Ability to accurately assess customer needs and potential via developing a solid customer understanding [who they serve, projects, their pain, decision makers, contacts, etc], understanding market conditions and the competitive environment.
?Ongoing new business development, working across all hierarchy and decision making levels, with the objective of creating, as well as retaining, frequently purchasing customers.
?Ongoing existing account development, working across all hierarchy and decision making levels, with the objective of increasing the frequency of purchases, breadth of purchase, further penetrating accounts to establish new profitable contacts and ensuring customer retention.
?Ongoing professional, applicable and competent delivery of the "Value Proposition" that allows for the achievement of cross as well as up-selling.
?Ability to identify and effectively deal with objections preventing customers from doing business.
?Following up all sales leads in a timely and effective manner.
?Determine which customers, with the objective of creating sales, are to receive company catalogues.
?Manage the "opportunity cost of time" spent with customers against their current or potential sales.
?Report any potential distributors or re-sellers identified during sales interactions.
?Accurate daily updating and maintenance of the customer database system.
?Ongoing reporting of market intelligence, competitor information, market trends and customer feedback.
?Timely generation of professional and accurate monthly sales feedback reports.
?Ongoing development of professional selling skills.
?Effective time management.
?Completion of other tasks and activities as required by management.

Key Performance Measurements
?Achievement of individual sales targets and objectives within the set timelines.
?Increase sales revenue by;
­Increase in average order value
­Increase in breadth of purchase and lines per order
­Increase in average order frequency
­Increase IPC's by 4 new spending customers or contacts per month
?Achievement of a minimum of 20 outbound calls per day. Measurements include:
­Total number of daily/ monthly successful calls versus total number of calls made
­Average call time versus success rate
?Quality, integrity, and frequency of information recorded within the necessary systems.
?Professional, clear, accurate, relevant, and timeous reports by the 2nd day of each month.
?Effective, quality, accurate and timeous communication to both customers and internal stakeholders.

Experience, Knowledge And Skills Required
?Relevant post Grade 12 qualification including 2-3 years successful sales experience ideally gained within a technical business-to-business solution sales environment.
?Excellent professional communication skills; face-to-face, written and telephonically.
?Ability to clearly demonstrate and apply commercial acumen.
?Good negotiating skills with a flair to sell both product and service within a high price environment
?Very good perceptive listener who has the ability to understand customer needs, existing or potential, through developing an understanding of their business.
?Capability to create rapport, build relationships and communicate with enthusiasm and drive, both internally and externally, across all levels of hierarchy.
?Computer literate - MS Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and database software.
?Ability to simultaneously work on different projects.
?Fluency in more than one Sub Saharan language [French, Portuguese, etc] is an advantage.
?Natural inquisitiveness to look at innovative and different ways of growing business in a professional manner whilst in keeping with best business practices.
?Excellent time management and organization skills.
?Confident and assertive.
?Must be self-motivated and when necessary be able to produce results under pressure.
?Ability to work on their own as well as within a team.
