QUALIFICATIONS: Degree / Diploma: BSc. Mech / Mining / Electrical / Metallurgical Engineering GCC is an advantage but not a must PR Eng. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 8 years minim experience in planning and managing projects is essential.
Experience in mining related industry or engineering industry. Experience in underground mining.
Experience in Project software & scheduling with such software.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Project Management is made up of the following key parameters:
Contract Implementation
* Definition of scope of work
* Liaising with the planning department for the planning of the project
* Managing Project Engineers with the process of equipment selection * Liaising with the Procurement Department for the purchasing requirements of the project.
* Coordinate and control the entire contract implementation. Client interface
* Managing the relation between the client and company
* Keeping the client up to date with the progress of the project.
* Regular reporting on project performance. Financial control
* Ensuring that the project remains on budget.
* Ensuring that the purchasing of items remain within the budgeted costs.
* Managing of debtors and creditors for the project phase. People management
* Managing of project engineers.
* Managing of construction teams.
* Ensuring that teams on site are managed according to the latest labour legislation.
* To ensure that all procedures are followed with relation to Human Resources practices.
* Manage the morale on site. Construction management
* Management of the recruitment of site personnel.
* Arranging of accommodation on site
* Arranging all the logistics of site erection, from electricity, water, sewerage, etc.
* Managing the erection and construction of the plant.
* Managing the commissioning of the plant. * Safety Management. General
* To ensure that all work in progress is completed on time and to high quality standards.
* Planning and managing of projects. Ensure they are on budget and on TIME!
* Quality inspections.
* Contracting work out.
* Co-ordinating transport and deliveries
