Job Description An electronic billing and marketing organisation is looking for a pro-active, efficient and professional individual who can add strategic value to the company, by taking full responsibility for managing and developing successful eBilling business.

Management and mentoring of the eBilling team which currently consists of 3 key account managers and 2 account executives. Th successul encumbent currently manages and mentors staff, this is essential and all applicants MUST have current staff management experience and skill.

•eBilling Business Development
Overall responsibility for business development within the eBilling business. This includes both retention- and growth-based activities. The person may also be required to work closely with the Business Development Manager on new acquisition related activities.
•Acquisition
Identifying and qualifying prospective customers and partners, Contacting and engaging prospects, Matching solution to requirements, Managing the sales lifecycle, Closing the deal
•Retention
Defining retention strategies for key accounts, Managing actions for the achievement of these strategies, Ensuring solid and multi-layered client relationships, Resolving escalated issues, Managing Understanding and mitigating risks
•Growth
Defining growth strategies for key accounts, Managing actions for the achievement of these strategies, Defining cross- and up-selling opportunities, Identifying new product opportunities and feeding this back into the development cycle
•Develop a comprehensive understanding of products and services
•Be able to present solution set to customers and prospects
•Be able to prepare and negotiate customer contracts
•Be able to engage at Director Level with customers and partners
•Be able to crisis-manage: liaise with customers as the escalation point to resolve issues
•Understand the intricacies of each customer - offer advice to account managers and directly to customers on all levels (from day to day activities & improvements to long-term strategies)
•Product Development
Responsible for finding opportunities in the eBilling space that can add value to current product offerings and / or increase revenue opportunities.Research trends in eBilling and new products being used and developed in the space. Provide market, industry and competitive analysis and positioning. Develop pricing and packaging strategies
•Management Reporting
The Head of eBilling will sit on the SA Management Committee (Manco) and is responsible for reporting to the Manco on Sales pipeline and forecasting, Monthly sales revenue and billing (including sign off on invoice preparation), Achievement of account targets, Red flags and risks
•Operational efficiency
The Head of eBilling must apply him/herself to the improvement of internal processes, Identifying processes and workflows in the eBilling sales cycle that require improvement, Working with Operations teams to achievement improvement, Promoting efficiency and effectiveness in the interaction between the eBilling business development function and all other teams
•Education
Minimum Tertiary qualification
•Experience
A proven, successful track record in Sales Management, Key Account Management or General Management, An IT background or exposure to IT principles is a pre-requisite, Must have at least 3-4 years of sales and/or management experience in an IT-related environment
