Job Description A busy cellular company is looking for a Project and Logistics Manager, with 2 to 4 years project management experience, to join their team in Johannesburg.

Marketing Degree / Diploma a plus.
Project Management Qualification Preferred.
2 – 4 Years of Project Management or Project Support role.
Knowledge of the mobile industry and advantage.
Previous experience in working with printers / graphic designers / external sales persons an advantage.
The ability to interact with Business and Technical Departments.

Planning, scoping and assessing each project assigned to deliver according to plan. Understanding of Risk, budget and time constraints as well as priority and resource planning essential. Ability to act as a diplomat and problem solver in order to keep projects on track.
Compiling Business Requirements.
Business process management understanding and drawing.
Managing external media sales agencies.
Overseeing forward schedule for paper advertising, taking into account paper order forecasts and paper advertising strategy.
On receipt of orders, reviewing pricing and providing approvals on each order.
Working with finance department in terms of billing requirements.
On receipt of advertisers’ artwork in the correct file format: review of artwork to ensure that the design and font size specifications are met.
Negotiation of pricing with printing house based on print quantities required.
Negotiation of timelines with printing house.
Provision of final artwork to printing house.
Planning and calculating the number of adverts to appear on a sheet per advertiser, based on spend and/or requirements (solid sheets vs mixed sheets of print)
Review of final artwork proofs (together with marketing department)
Provision of artwork proofs (electronic and/or physical proofs) to each advertiser for approval (via relevant media agency) before providing go-ahead to print.
Monitoring of printing house to ensure that timelines are met.
On receipt of final printed vouchers, samples to be kept on file at the company and also to be sent to each advertiser for their reference.
Working with the distribution, procurement and logistics department (Durban and Head Office) to keep on top of stock levels (per advertiser and per network denomination) and distribution methodologies (regional or national distribution per advertiser) as well as advertiser campaign deadlines (by when the stock needs to be in the market place)
Providing weekly status reports to the relevant media sales agency / advertiser on paper stock movement (no of sales vs. remaining stock)
Where necessary, investigating alternative options for printing, warehousing and distribution of paper stock.
Where necessary, making the relevant key decision makers aware of potential concerns (such as where there are high levels of paper stock but insufficient sales; which may result in a change of strategy)
Coordinate GWSP operations that relate to bulk sms, premium-rated / standard short codes, mobisites and any other WASP-related services.
Key relationship management: Build and maintain client and supplier relationships.
Manage relationship with third parties.
Oversee Africa-related client opportunities with partners.
Generate reports as needed.
Providing status on projects / key initiatives assigned to this position.
Providing status on stock movements to advertisers / media sales agencies.
Generate WASP-related reports as necessary.
